Catching Up On March
There is a lot to catch up on and not a lot of pictures of the right things.
Zita had her school music show and this is the one amazing picture I took. When Sebby is around, all photography falls apart. She played bass and is on stage, but blocked by the kids up at the mic. I'm so tempted to get a bass for the house.
We had my nephew and niece last weekend and took a walk along the waterfront of São João. The sheer cliffs and flimsy barriers meant a lot of running behind Seb with one hand grasping firmly at his shirt, hand, or whatever else I could grab. How cute are his new shades? Old Navy. $4.
We went to the Casino gardens one morning to get a break from parks. I have avoided the Casino for a year now since he always winds up trying to get in the fountains. Now it's just his race cars that go for a swim.
Both Zita and Freddy had their music exams and passed.
Mother of the year moments in March:
Zita had her clarinet recital and told me about it by text 3 minutes before it started. I missed the text and missed the recital.
I threw Moojie's concert tickets in the trash after writing my grocery list on the envelope they were in. We got new tickets in the hours before the concert, but it wasn't a good 24 hours for anyone. Have you ever gone through your own trash? Not recommended.
My cousin's wife was here on a business trip so we served chicken curry lettuce wraps. They are now part of our permanent dinner rotation. The spices below are garam masala, chilli powder, and curry powder.
Mooj is in California for his driver's test and having the best time. I never imagined we would miss him this much, but his absence is simply too much for us. Okay, maybe for me, but the other kids miss their brother a lot.
We have been going to the beach or doing a beach walk almost every day, and filling in with parks when the beach has been too windy. Almost all the pictures are on my mom's iphone and will eventually make their way to the blog.

Alentejo Weekend
These are two weeks old now and have been sitting in draft mode. I'm never going to get a re-cap of our weekend up, so here are a few photos.
