The Best Frosting Ever on Easter

I'm taking a break until Tuesday when I get through the Easter and baptism hostessing marathon. The little kids and I just made this frosting for the baptism cake. The recipe title is solid gold truth. It is the best frosting I have ever made.

Sleepy Lion Cub Makes His Way Home

Freddy went straight from tennis, to having his cousin over to play, to a birthday party. He was one tired lion cub by 7pm when we picked him up from the party.

More Play Time

This is how I get laundry put away. It has to be done in 5 to 7 minutes because that's about how long Sebby is willing to play without full attention and interaction.

Can I put on record how much I adore a big baby boy in overalls?

NYC: Take Two

Mooj is in the air and will finally make it to New York. I got up extra early to make cinnamon quince rolls to start the day off right. So yummy.
It's only been 10 hrs since he left and we already miss him :-(

19 weeks

my camera battery has been dead and the charger disapeared. Until i get that resolved (read: buy a new charger in order to have the old one turn up in an obvious place) I'm going to leave this photo from my phone up as a place holder.

Freddy or Sebby?

Zita's School Tea and Show

Posting about Freddy's school tea and show made me realize I never put up photos of Zita's big day, which was way back in January. Never too late, right? Seb was only 2 months old and wasn't happy with the crowded room, but Zita did a great job of soothing him and introducing him to the school.

I have the three big kids off school this week, and it's all I can do to keep them fed, entertained, and alive, so forgive the inevitable inconsistent blogging in the next coming weeks.

Friday Photo Dump

I finally have a few photos of Moojie. These (out of order) photos include: Seb in the sling. Moojie holding up a watercolor he had just finished painting. Zita holding Seb in the Bjorn. Seb loving some mirror time. Moojie playing basketball, playing the guitar, and walking out the door for his graduating class school trip. It's been a busy, but fast week and I'm ready to greet the weekend.

Baby Clothes Quilt

I now have two large Tupperware full of clothes that don't fit Sebby, and what to do with it all is a pressing concern; I'm out of space and this guy is growing! I love this quilt idea, but I want something more masculine than hearts. Ideas?

Circles?
Stars?

My quilt conceptualization skills feel rusty.

Waiting for Word on the New Pope

TV ban lifted for tonight. This is the television equivalent of the Catholic superbowl.

More on the Weekend

A little girl in Freddy's class gave him a Burger King Crown on Friday. That thing stayed on his head for most of the weekend. We hardly saw Freddy. If he wasn't biking laps, he was off playing with the many boy cousins around his age.
One of only two shots I got of Zita.
Out on a morning walk with Moojie. The orange trees were out-of-control bursting with fruit.
My Seb so happy in the stroller
Zita helping her little 2 year old cousin on the swing.
 The gate house
There is a rather large turnip field (that's a turnip, right?) in front of said gatehouse.
Post turnip theft- Moojie and Pai looking like brothers.
There are acres upon acres of forest at the edge of the rice fields. I find this forest to be among the spookiest I've ever seen.

Mooj snapped the below shot from the car window as we drove out on Sunday. You can see the gate house on the right, and the main house on the left.
