Sebby is Three!

We ( by "we" I mean Sebby's siblings) didn't manage to get up early enough for our traditional early morning birthday celebrations.
Mooj had half day so he came along with Seb and me to a play place in Sintra called Hubi Park.

We will definitely be back. He loved it!
His cousin came over to play and the two of them spent the rest of the afternoon with Prosciutto, enjoying the sunshiney weather.
I let him open one small Paw Patrol toy that he held and cherished all day long. If it had been his only present, he would have been happy.

 Moojie hugs are the best.

Freddy aka "Marshall," the Paw Patrol extraordinaire.

He had his favorite dinner of chicken korma and got his requested chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

A post dinner Paw-Patrol sesh brought another fantastic birthday to a close.

Some Recent Rugby Pictures

It has been a great rugby season so far. The whole league has been reconfigured and is now organized into World-Cup style groups instead of A league and B league. The team has won all three of their games so will advance into the winners circle (totally making up these terms as I go) and play what should be much harder teams.  Their biggest triumph was beating Cascais for the first time ever, and thus relegating  Cascais to the lower group. Or, losers circle if you will.

I think my heart-rate reached record levels in the last ten minutes as Cascais put out a huge effort to come back.

Rugby facial expressions are pretty much the best. These are not the Cascais game pictures, by the way.

I'm so very thankful for the dads who bring fast long-lense cameras and get these shots. By the time I figure out that Mooj was the person with the ball, or doing a great tackle, it's too late for my point and shoot.

Friday Photo Dump

I  have a new phone so getting pictures up will be a lot easier.
Prosciutto is looking more like a dog, but acting more like a puppy. Oh, the chewing, the digging, the muddy paws, it's all so wonderful.
If he weren't the cuddliest person-dog on Earth....

Catching Up On September

We spent as many days on the beach as we could. I hit my saturation point by mid-August, but the kids never seem to tire of the beach.

I tried to mix things up a bit and added in a visit to the Sintra Science Museum,
 the aquarium,
and a trip to IKEA to get this swing I have had my eye on for a long time. It's given new life to this previously unused part of our garden.
Freddy, in particular, loves to lounge here.
We had a wedding on the second weekend of September. Freddy and Sebby stayed home so Pai and I had a great night out with these two.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard how tall they are.....

Pai was the best man and gave a great speech. Coordinating Zita's dress with Mooji and Pai's ties was a complete coincidence.

This shot is already on instragram, but it is one of my all time favorites.

I would love to say I have great shots from the first day of school, but no. I took a few, but think they may have gotten erased from the memory card of my camera.

Sebby very politely asked for his icecream at Santini by saying"pode me dar banilla please? and the pink one." The man smiled and understood perectly.
Mooj was sitting to my left and strangely didn't lean in to make the shot.
Prosciutto arrived on the scene and completed our family. He is, without exaggeration, the sweetest dog on the planet.

Blackie the cat is so skeptical and hissy and mean, but he takes it and has never once growled or showed any agression.
 Seb is a fan.
